Hey, you there!

The one with the camera and the dream in your heart, this page is for you.

Whether your’re a seasoned pro stuck in a creative rut, or an overwhelmed newbie with no idea where to start - I’d love to help set you up for success, and reignite your spark.

Mentoring for Photographers

Being a photographer is one of the best jobs in the world - but it’s not always easy. And “being a photographer” sounds fun, until you realise you actually have to run a business too.

You suddenly realise that you need to wear 10 hats instead of just one. You’ve gone from just being a photographer to also juggling marketing, sales, customer service, bookkeeping, content creation, website design - quickly you realise there’s a lot to learn, and this is where a mentor can help.

In the early years, a mentor can help you find your feet, develop your voice, figure out how to price yourself, level up your photography skills, and give you the confidence to not only survive, but thrive. Even if you’ve been a photographer for 3,5 or 15 years, it’s easy to get stuck in a rut and working with a mentor you trust can help you in so many ways, from being a confidant, a sounding board, give you a confidence boost, refresh your biz and help to reignite your spark. And sometimes we all just need someone to bounce ideas off, get an outsiders perspective and provide us some direction.

And sure - I don’t have a degree in photography or mentoring, but I’ve picked up a thing or two over the years, I’m a rad listener, I love to solve problems, and most importantly I’m passionate about helping others.

“ONE WHO REFUSES TO SEEK THE ADVICE OF OTHERS WILL EVENTUALLY BE LED TO A PATH OF RUIN. A MENTOR HELPS YOU TO PERCEIVE YOUR OWN WEAKNESSES AND CONFRONT THEM WITH COURAGE…”

 You can run a profitable business

WITHOUT BEING SLIMY, GREEDY OR HAVING “BOSS BABE ENERGY”.

You want to know something? I think the words “profitable” and “successful” have become dirty words that we associate with those slimy salespeople or big rich companies who care more about the 0’s in their bank account than they do about people.

But I want you to know you don’t have to be slimy, greedy or have “boss babe energy” to run a profitable business, you can do it quietly, on your own terms and without selling your soul. You do it the same way you photograph people - with love, and from the heart.

Because when you care about people, you focus on serving your clients and making a difference in their lives; you end up with a heart-centred business that aligns with your values and your why, and is more likely to generate income (money that you can feel good about earning).

Learning the skills to run a profitable business can be hard - after all, it’s not the kind of skill set they teach at school or university.

 Mentoring Packages

 No matter where you’re at, I would truly love to connect with you and help you figure it out. You don’t have to go it alone, I’m here to help (and I promise to be an open book - nothing is off limits).

Full Day / $3,500

Set yourself up for success and join me in the studio for a full day that covers the art of business + finding your creative voice. I’m an open book, no questions are off limits and together we’ll spend the day deep diving into your business.

A full day mentoring session goes for 6-8 hours with me in the studio and also includes:

  • A live sunset shoot with a family so you can see how I shoot, pose and direct them.

  • Shnacks and lunch so you’re mind stays sharp and focused;

  • A post-session action plan + guide covering all the things we chat about (so you won’t forget);

  • A 2-4 week post session catch up via video call, in case you’ve got any lingering questions.

Half Day / $1,500

The half day session is a shorter and perfect for those of you who can’t afford the full day option, but are ready to learn. It’s the best option if you:

  • want to really deep dive into one or two specific areas of your business;

  • need a cheerleader, some encouragement and an outsiders perspective to help give you confidence, clarity and direction;

  • a refresher with someone who gets it and can help reignite the spark inside of you (honestly sometimes all you need to know is that you’re not alone to kick start that fire inside of you).

These sessions go for 4-5 hours and include shnacks, a post action plan + a quick catchup via phone in 2-4 weeks to see how you’re going post-session.

Two Hour Chat / $399

Perfect for those who just want to pick my brains about something specific, I’m an open book (always).

A chat via video call is perfect if you just want to cover one or two topics - and usually, I’ll cover 1 or 2 of the following with you:

  • a gentle portfolio review so you know where to improve moving forward (I’ll never tell you that you suck, to give up or go home);

  • help figuring out your pricing;

  • developing confidence in yourself and your skills;

  • how to connect with your clients and capture photographs full of emotion.

I mean, who wouldn’t want to work with me?? Look at these SKILLS - girl I am getting all up in that flowers biz-ness..

 Not sure if you really need a mentor, or that I can actually help you?

I get it - investing in an industry mentor is a big investment, especially if you’re in the early stages of your business. That’s why you need a quickie with me via video call😉! We’ll chat for thirty minutes (for FREE) so you can tell me what you’re struggling with right now, and I’ll let you know if and how I can help you - #winnerwinnerchickendinner.

Frequently Asked Questions

I’M A PHOTOGRAPHER WITH A SIMILAR STYLE/SKILL SET TO YOU, BUT I FEEL AWKWARD ABOUT REACHING OUT TO YOU.

Yup, I totally hear you. When you’ve been in the industry for a few years, it can be really awkward to reach out to a peer and ask for help. Especially if you are worried about being judged or shamed (there’ll only ever be gentle and honest feedback and guidance here my friend). There’s always more to learn, and sometimes it helps to have someone who is at a similar level to you, someone who truly gets it to deep dive with you and help you find your path.

I AM A TOTAL NEWBIE, AND JUST WANT HELP UNDERSTANDING MANUAL ON MY CAMERA…CAN YOU STILL HELP ME?

The Wholehearted Sessions are designed for those of you who already know how to use your camera on manual, and who are either about to take the leap into running a photgraphy business, are in the early days of their business, or seasoned pros (3+ years experience) who need some help shaking things up and getting reinspired.

One day I plan to run beginner workshops to help people love their camera, so stay tuned for those!

DO YOU TAKE SECOND SHOOTERS TO WEDDINGS WITH YOU?

All students are welcome to tag along to weddings with me, if you’d like to experience everything first hand/watch me work.

WHAT’S THE BOOKING PROCESS?

A 30% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your date, and the balance is due no less than one week prior to your session. Payment plans are available, but your session won’t take place until it’s been paid in full.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I BOOK IN?

The hours will fly so fast during your mentoring session, and to make sure you are getting the most from your time with me I will send you a detailed questionnaire so I can get to know you a little and understand where you are struggling in your business/creative journey. This helps me know where I can best help you on the day.

WILL THERE BE ONGOING SUPPORT?

Yasss! Of course! You’ll get a detailed action plan from your wholehearted mentoring session, and I’ll touch base with you 2-4 weeks afterwards to see how you are going, and answer any followup questions with you.

A separate Facebook group will be created for all students of the Wholehearted Sessions so you can also connect with and support each other.
