POINT COOK NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER

Ever wondered what the newborn session experience is like? Today I thought I’d share a little about the experience with you.

First of all, you guys need to know that being chosen to document your little one’s first portraits is an honour. After all these are the images that will be loved by you for years to come, and I don’t take that lightly, and I want this experience to be an experience for you. It’s not just about going somewhere and having your photo taken, it’s about creating memories that you will treasure forever.

So what can you expect from your newborn session? When you arrive, you can expect to be greeted with an understanding smile, and probably a warm hug (because I’m a hugger). And you’ll need to hand over your baby to me ASAP because I’m going to want ALL the cuddles! I’ve worked with 100+ little babies, and I never get sick of those cuddles.

Your little one’s safety is my top priority, I will not ever try to β€œget the shot” if it means compromising the well-being of your child. That means no unassisted newborn poses (though I might ask for your hand/s from time to time) and no unsafe mediums to support your child. No matter what, I want you to feel comfortable that your baby is in good hands. Finally, you can expect that you will have fun. My clients usually end their session by saying β€œit felt like we were hanging out with an old friend!” or β€œthat was wonderful... we were so worried.”

I’m not in for the session, I’m in it for the relationship, for the chance to get to know you and tell part of your story, to catch a glimpse of your love and bottle it in photos that you will treasure forever.

Also - these photos of Larna and her sweet little girl Lily at the top of this page make my heart BURST.
